Reading, Listening, Watching | Novemebr 2024

Hi Friends,
Today’s post is inspired by a TikTok trend where you share what you’re currently reading, listening to, and watching. I believe the creator of this trend is the BookToker @Kenzzeamanreads. I thought this idea was so much fun, and I don’t think I’ve done a post like this before. Also, I listen to 95% of the books I read, but instead of being redundant and putting audiobooks in the listening category, I’m going to reserve that for music and podcasts.

I just posted an Instagram reel of my last, current, and next reads, so you should definitely go check that out! I’m @Books.With.Bunny on Instagram. Anyway, I just started Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands, and I’m really enjoying it. I’m also still only 50% through Fourth Wing since I’m buddy reading it with my husband.

I’ve been obsessed with Gracie Abrams’ song “In Between.” It’s an unreleased track that you can listen to on YouTube. I also really like the song “EYA” by Louie Thesinger! It’s a very seductive track, which is usually the type of music I gravitate towards—don’t judge me. Lastly, SkyDxddy has an amazing track called “Battlefield” that’s been fueling my feminine rage lately. If you know, you know.

I’m in the holiday movie mood! I’ve been binging Hallmark and Netflix holiday films. But I’m not ignoring the horror movie lover in me. The last film I watched was Thanksgiving, a horror movie available on Netflix. I’m also still keeping up with Grey’s Anatomy every week. Plus, my husband and I have been enjoying the series Brilliant Minds.

I hope you liked seeing my current reads, listens, and watches! Share yours in the comments below. If you have a TikTok account, I’d love it if you followed me there—I’m @BooksWithBunny. And before you go, make sure to follow the blog so you get notified whenever there’s a new post!

Sabrina Carpenter | Book Recommendations

Hi Friends,
Today, I’m sharing a book post for all the Sabrina Carpenter fans out there. In case you didn’t know, Sabrina released a new album on August 23rd called Short n’ Sweet. I originally planned to match some of her songs with books, but instead, I thought I’d recommend a few books that I think any fan of Sabrina’s music would enjoy.

Icebreaker by Hannah Grace
If you know anything about Sabrina’s music, you know she’s not shy about adding some innuendos to her lyrics. A book that looks sweet on the outside but has some surprisingly spicy and explicit content fits her vibe perfectly. This one’s a college frenemies-to-lovers romance, and I’ve heard the steamy scenes are on fire, just like Sabrina’s songs.

Rouge by Mona Awad
This gothic horror story is all about youth and beauty. One thing I’ve noticed about Sabrina is that her skin and makeup are always on point. A horror book that delves into the darker, more sinister aspects of the beauty industry seems like an ideal choice for her fans who appreciate both her music and style and enjoy a bit of suspense.

Annie Bot by Sierra Greer
If you’re looking for something that’s like The Barbie Movie mixed with Sabrina Carpenter’s Feather, this book might be for you. It’s about a robot woman who rebels against the man who controls her. I bet Annie Bot will “feel so much lighter like a feather” once she’s free. Okay, that might have been a bit cheesy, but the lyrics just match the book for me.

Bunny by Mona Awad
I know I’ve already included one Mona Awad book, but I couldn’t resist adding another. This book is supposed to be really weird—you either love it or hate it, kind of like how people feel about Sabrina’s music. It’s a dark academia story about a group of rich girls who call themselves Bunny, and I think Sabrina would totally be into it.

Let me know in the comments if you’re a Sabrina Carpenter fan! Are any of these books on your TBR? Unfortunately, only one of these is available in Everand, but if you want to try the ebook and audiobook service, you can use my link (click here) to get a free trial. And before you go, I’d love it if you could support my blog by giving it a follow.

As Sung By Taylor // Book Recommendations

Hi Friends,
You might not know this, but I am a Swiftie! And since I could not manage to get tickets to The Eras tour, I thought I would do the next best thing. Sure, to non-readers, this might not be the next best thing, but I thought it would be fun to share some book recommendations based on some Taylor songs.

“But you’re untouchable, burning brighter than the sun
Now that you’re close I feel like coming undone
In the middle of the night, when I’m in this dream
It’s like a million little stars spelling out your name
You gotta come on, come on
Say that we’ll be together
Come on, come on
Oh, oh, oh”

“And it’s like snow at the beach
Weird but fuckin’ beautiful
Flying in a dream, stars by the pocketful
You wanting me tonight feels impossible
But it’s comin’ down, no sound, it’s all around
Like snow on the beach
Like snow on the beach
Like snow on the beach
Like snow, oh, oh oh”

“I’d be a fearless leader
I’d be an alpha type
When everyone believes ya
What’s that like?
I’m so sick of running as fast as I can
Wondering if I’d get there quicker
If I was a man
And I’m so sick of them coming at me again
‘Cause if I was a man
Then I’d be the man
I’d be the man
I’d be the man”

“I’ve grown accustomed to sleepin’ alone
Still, I know that all it takes is to get it right
Just one time, just one time
All I know is this could either break my heart or bring it back to life
Got a feelin’ your electric touch could fill this ghost town up with life
And I want you now, wanna need you forever
In the heat of your electric touch”

Keep in mind that these are just my opinions, and I think that each of these songs compliments the book really well. In the comments, let me know which Taylor album is your favorite. I will forever be a Red girl! Do not forget to hit the follow, but before you leave.

Mid-Month Reading Update

Hello bookish friends.
This is a quick little mid-month reading, watching and listening update.I thought it would be fun to let you know how my reading has been going. Also, I thought I would throw in what I have been watching and listening too lately. I plan to do this type of post each month, so I hope you guys like it.

Reading
I have read three books this month, which isn’t bad in my opinion. I am hoping to finish two more books before the end of the month. I know my original goal was 9 books, still I am very happy with how my reading is going. I am sticking to my monthly tbr as well.

Movies
Netflix’s Prom The Musical (8.0/10.00 Stars): This was such a cute and fun musical. It is based on a Broadway musical, and stars some amazing actors. All the songs were great, yet my favorites has to be “Love Thy Neighbor.”

The Live Action Tom and Jerry Movie (4.0/10.0 Stars): I have never been a Tom and Jerry fan, so I might not be the target audience for this movie. I can appreciate the modern day take on the classic cartoon, but I felt it lack something. It was slow at times and not very funny.

Legally Blonde (9.0/10.0 Stars): Yep! We watched this 2000s gem. It was a good time and I fell in love with this movie all over again. Need I say more.

Valley Girl (5.0/10.0 Stars): This movie was a 2020 release, and is a musical with a Romeo and Juliet type plot. The songs where covers of classic 80s hits, still the over all story was a bit mundane. However, despite my low rating I would watch this movie again. Yeah I am strange.

TV
Me and my husband are making our way through a few shows right now. Below are the shows we are watching and the episode we are on.
Avatar the Last Airbender (Season 1, Episode 3)
Fringe (Season 1, Episode 1)
Nip/Tuck (Season 1, Episode 3)
House MD (Season 1, Episode 6)
Gilmore Girls (Season 3, Episode 8)
Pretty Little Liars (Season 1, Episode 1)

Listening
I have only been listening to the Prom: The Musical soundtrack and Willow by Taylor Swift. I need some knew music recommendations.

There is my mid-month update! Let me know what you have been reading, watching and listening too. Please support my book blog by liking and sharing this post. You can follow the blog to get notified when I post.

Until The Next Chapter,
